Activity and notification details
Read the same SMS and email details on accounts and activation requests.
Where can I see messages?
Open a LinkedIn account and select Account activity → Notifications. The other tab shows activation history. You can also see SMS and email events in the activity of an individual activation request.
SMS and email rows show the same basic information: recipient, status, date and access to details. Click anywhere on a notification row, or use its Details action. Both pages use the same detail presentation.
Understand the status
| Status | What it confirms | What it does not confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Accepted by the SMTP server | The sending server accepted the email | Inbox placement, reading or licence activation |
| Sent / accepted by operator | The message was handed to the sending system | Recipient action |
| Delivered | A delivery confirmation was received from the provider | Successful licence activation |
| Pending / processing | Sending is not yet completed | Delivery |
| Failed / rejected / expired | A problem or unsuccessful outcome is recorded | That a new message will automatically be sent |
What is visible in details?
The dialog shows the stored content, recipient and state. Old messages may not have a preserved body; the interface says so rather than reconstructing it. Historical activation URLs are masked and are not clickable. Use the intended activation action for a currently available link.
On the account page, View activation opens the associated request. On the activation page you are already in that request.
Can I resend a message from this panel?
Do not assume a resend action exists because an event is shown. Check the current activation state and use support when delivery needs attention. Verify recipient details before requesting a new send.
