Your LinkedIn credentials stay yours
What Seatly stores, what your support team can see and how third-party connections differ.
Does Seatly have my LinkedIn login credentials?
Seatly does not collect or store your LinkedIn password, authentication cookies or two-factor authentication codes. You do not give Seatly your LinkedIn login to buy or activate a licence. Never send these secrets in a support message, screenshot or attachment.
Adding a LinkedIn account record to Seatly does not sign in to LinkedIn or give the Seatly customer-success team access to your LinkedIn account. You complete licence activation yourself while signed in to the intended account.
Credentials and contact information are different
A LinkedIn email address or profile URL can identify the person receiving a licence. That information is not the same as the password, session cookie or verification code that permits a login.
| Information | In Seatly |
|---|---|
| LinkedIn password, login cookies or 2FA codes | Not collected or stored as part of Seatly’s account and licence workflow. |
| Account holder’s name, email, phone and LinkedIn profile URL | Recorded to identify the recipient and coordinate activation and reminders. |
| Workspace, licences, orders and activation status | Used to manage the service and help resolve issues. |
| Notification history and contents | May be available for troubleshooting the activation emails and SMS sent through Seatly. |
| Connected-account and seat information from Sendler | May be synchronized for account and seat tracking; this is not a LinkedIn login credential. |
What can the customer-success team see?
Seatly’s customer-success team uses the information associated with your workspace to assist you: account contact details, the licence concerned, request progress and the relevant service or notification history. This helps the team understand an activation problem without asking to sign in to your LinkedIn account.
The Seatly workspace does not provide the CSM team with a way to open your LinkedIn inbox, send LinkedIn messages as you or browse your account as a logged-in user. An account record or support request does not grant such access.
What if I connect LinkedIn to Sendler?
That is a separate connection to a third-party automation solution. The provider may need to maintain an authenticated session to perform the actions you configure. Its permissions, session handling and privacy terms apply to that connection; do not confuse it with simply adding a contact record in Seatly.
Seatly’s statement about its licence and workspace workflow is not a claim that no third-party service ever handles an authenticated LinkedIn session. See cloud sessions and 2FA.
How can I get help without sharing a secret?
Provide the workspace, the licence or request concerned, and a description of the issue. If a screenshot helps, hide passwords, verification codes and session details. Perform any legitimate LinkedIn sign-in or 2FA confirmation yourself on the relevant service.
