LinkedIn activation troubleshooting
Find the next step without creating a duplicate request.
I requested a licence but have no link
Open the request and check its current stage. Request created or Request received means the link is not yet available. Verify the account holder’s contact details and activity log. If the request seems stuck, use Need help? on that request so support has the correct context.
The email or SMS has not arrived
Check the recipient, spam folder and notification status. Accepted by the SMTP server is not proof of inbox delivery. A delivered SMS status is a provider delivery confirmation, not proof that the recipient completed activation.
The link opens the wrong account
Stop and check which LinkedIn account is signed in. Do not confirm activation in Seatly for the wrong account. Contact support within the activation window if you cannot safely complete the process.
The link has expired or shows an error
Use the deadline in the notification. Reading the email later does not extend it. Contact Seatly from the request with the error and when it happened. Do not assume another link or a reimbursement is automatic.
Seatly shows Link opened but the licence is not active
A click is only a tracking event. Check the outcome inside LinkedIn. Confirm in Seatly only after the licence is active; otherwise contact support.
The request failed: where is my credit?
Look for a credit-return entry in the activity. Automatic return is limited to eligible failures before a link became available. If a link was available, the same automatic rule does not apply. For a disputed or unusual situation, ask support to review the request.
I can’t see the original link in message history
Historical email and SMS details intentionally show [activation link] instead of the URL. This is separate from the intended activation action on the request. Do not use the historical message panel as a way to bypass an unavailable action.
